Synthetic Oil changes at Toronto area Honda Dealers

How-do-you-do,

I'm just curious almost how much a synthetic oil change costs at Toronto area honda dealers? Over the telephone I was quoted $80 by a nearby non-Honda garage. Is this reasonable? FYI. I unremarkably get not-synthetic for $40.

I realize the cheapest is to do it yourself, but its not an option.

no in cars that accept regular oil put in from factory

but some people volition disagree with me, that it helps engine run smooth, better mileage and less frequent oil change

all of these are from internet sources, which i dont believe myself

I personally stick with what the manufacturer says, not people from the internet.

Dealership set prices differently across Canada, it's difficult to say for how much as they vary from location.

Cars dont come out of the manufactory with synthetic considering it would price the manufacturer more money. Either that or your car is an older one where using constructed wasnt as mutual as information technology is now. Some cars will see a deviation in driving such equally smoother revving and better fuel economy. Some machine might not encounter whatsoever difference. It all depends.

Benefit of constructed other than those is you lot can pretty much double the oil change interval so you dont have to alter it as oft. In the cease its yet up to you, you wont hurt anything by switching, merely y'all also wont injure anything by continuing to use conventional oil.

Synthetic=better lubrication and better viscosity operation at both lower and college temperature extremes.
I use syn oil and all the same take a strong running 12yr one-time car.

Ummm... No. The retail cost for the 0W20 synthetic oil is around $7/Litre (used to exist $5.25/50 until recently), so their cost price for that oil in bulk is apparently much less than that.

And they don't fifty-fifty change the filter for the 'A' service for many of their vehicles. In my Odyssey and Civic, the filter gets changed only in the 'B' service (which is priced at $200 + tax, from what I've read).

With synthetic oil, you can go anwhere from viii-10k between oil changes dissimilar with conventional oil which is usually 5k. And so its basically the same toll, merely less hassle because y'all do it less ofttimes.

Got a quote recently from Ivan, $60 for synthetic (not sure if that included tax). He was pretty booked up, and then got synthetic plus oil filter done at Parkway Honda for $72 including tax.

I would definitely just await for synthetic oils to go on auction, as long as they are a good make you should exist fine, I go to honda to buy the OEM filter, or I shop on ebay for a lot of the honda oem filters, my terminal oil change I did myself, toll me about $50. Quite expensive only i couldnt look for the sales, but yous can observe good deals if you do it your self, some guys are doing their own synthetic oil changes for most $30. From now on i'm merely gonna attempt to find sales on the oil and do it myself. Part source is selling Casto'southward full synthetic Edge oil for 29.99, which is a decent price compared to Wal-mart regular price is about $46. Costco sells information technology for about $38. Canadian tire sells for nearly $46. Only the Mobil one full constructed oil is on sale right now frrom $48 4.4L Jug to $34. Which is a good bargain because a lot of places use Mobil 1 for their synthetic oil changes.
